My child would like to be placed with their friend. How do I request this?
One friend request of the same age/grade can be indicated on the registration form. Please note the closer it gets to VBS, the more difficult it becomes for us to honor requests of this nature; therefore, after May 31st, friend requests will not be taken.
What measures are taken to ensure the safety of our children?
All adult volunteers are required to have a cleared background check and complete an online ministry safe training prior to serving during the week of VBS. All youth volunteers also receive training with our DCE prior to VBS. For parents and adults picking up a child, they will need to present a photo ID at pick up, it will then be verified with the list of people you have designated on your registration form to pick up your child.
What about my child with allergies?
Your child’s care and well-being is our number one priority and care during our week of VBS. Please be sure to list all allergies on the registration form of your child. We will not provide any snacks that have nuts. Your child’s crew leader will be aware of your kids allergies. We will also email you a copy of the ingredients for each snack one to two weeks prior to VBS so that you can let us know if there are any foods your child cannot eat. You are also welcome to provide your own snacks for your child if that is your preference.
How will I know which crew my child has been assigned to?
By June 14th you will receive an email with your child’s crew assignment listed. Please be sure to check your email prior to the opening day of VBS. Additionally our greeters and check in will have crew assignment lists available to check your class assignment when you arrive for VBS.
